PRINCE HAMZAH GRADUATES JUBILEE SCHOOL CLASS OF 2007
Amman, Jordan (9 July 2007) – His Royal Highness Prince Hamzah today patronized the graduation ceremony of the
11th Class of graduates of the Jubilee School.
Graduating students paid tribute to the school for the
integral role it has played in their lives both
academically and socially. Specializing in Gifted
Education, Jubilee School cultivates the intellectual
and leadership potential of meritorious students,
placing special emphasis on those with significant
financial need.
"In addition to Jubilee’s highly competitive atmosphere
and unique system of education, we have been able to
develop skills such as creative thinking, public
speaking and leadership. Equipped with these diverse
skills, we feel ready to serve our community as fully
productive and capable members," said graduating student
Raya Al Halawani.
Students also shared some of their unique experiences
during their four years at the school, such as Jubilee’s
youth forums, a Model United Nations symposia, cultural
days, international summits and cultural exchange
programs. "These have all richly contributed to
transforming us into open-minded, positive, constructive
and civically-conscious individuals, aware of the people
and the world around us," graduating student Amer Hajjaj
said.

Three Alumni members, who have each embarked on highly
successful careers, participated in the ceremony. Amer
Ibrahim graduated from Jubilee School seven years ago,
and now runs his own IT Programming company.
Hadeel Akaf, a graduate of the 5th Class of the school,
is now one of Jordan's four female commercial pilots.
She received her pilot's certification in just 13 weeks.
Saif Al Smaddy, a graduate of the 4th Class, went on to
study medicine at the University of Jordan and is now an
Ophthalmologist at the King Hussein Medical Center. "The
Jubilee School taught me that humanity is the spirit of
life, and that tolerance and peace are what builds a
nation," Dr. Al Smaddy said.
Jubilee School Director, Abla Zuraykat, spoke of the
importance of upholding the values the students have
learned at the school, with an emphasis on tolerance.
"It is the duty of all of us to respect the rights of
others, to respect the differences in others, and to
learn from these differences to better ourselves. This
is the central principal upon which growing and
developing societies are built."
At the end of the ceremony, Prince Hamzah presented 112
students with their graduation certificates, bringing
the total number of Jubilee School graduates to 1,042.
Also in attendance were Jubilee School Board Members
